I went to a nightclub to watch Olly Murs on Wednesday night, for those who don’t know who he is he came second on the X Factor.
I was a bit nervous about going as I haven’t been to a club in years and thought I might feel a bit old at 39, also maybe a bit sad for paying £13 to watch him? I needn’t have worried as I actually felt quite young, there was a large mix of ages there, mainly women. If I was a bloke on the “pull” I would have definitly paid to see Olly as there was oodles of available females.
Olly was great, or as great as someone can be in 15 minutes, then it was goodbye. Lots of people paid more (not me) for VIP tickets which included “meet and greet”. Olly then spent the next hour shaking hands with people who had paid before exiting out of the backdoor to a waiting car. I know this as I was accompanying a friend having a cig (not me) outside at the time.
He was good and I wish him well.
I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year. We have, although I’m quite looking forard to clearing away the decorations and getting back to normal.
I have decided on a couple of New Year resolutions. If I write them here I’m less likely to forget.
To pretend I’ve still got gallstones with regards to my diet ie. low fat.
To start running again.
To be a bit more prolific with writing.
To try and finish my Writers bureaux course.
To get a job I like and that fits in with my sahm status.
We’ll see. Now where’s the chocolates.
That's the low-fat chocs, of course….
Have a great 2010! And good luck with the writing course.
Absolutely, is there another type?
All the best for 2010!
