Last Friday, I was over the moon to receive a luxury bouquet of flower from Prestige Flowers to review! I knew they were going to be lovely, as I had a peak at their website prior to them arriving. The anticipation was further heightened when a large box from Prestige Flowers arrived.
On opening the box I was thrilled to discover a beautiful bouquet of flowers containing white roses and Gerbera. I’m not sure of the names of the other flowers, but they were a beautiful mix of white’s, purples, yellows, oranges and greens. I was sent a New Baby bouquet. There was a very cute blue elephant and fabric flower within the bouquet. My six year old twins love the elephant – very apt as our favourite animal at our recent Chester Zoo visit was the elephants!
The flowers were carefully and elegantly wrapped in white tissue paper and the stems were soaked in fabric to keep them fresh in transit. They were prevented from getting bashed and damaged in the box by being carefully packed with cardboard.
The bouquet also included a small box of chocolate truffles and a glass vase. I was really happy to receive the vase, as it was perfectly sized to accommodate the bouquet without rearranging the flowers.
Helpfully the flowers also arrived with a flower care guide and a sachet of flower food. I carefully followed the instructions and trimmed the stems, removed lower leaves and placed in the vase that came with the bouquet. I have had the flowers a few days now and they are still looking fresh, despite the warm humid weather we have had recently. I have topped up the vase with water almost daily.
I kind of went a little bit overboard with photographing the bouquet, as no matter how much you write about flowers, their beauty cannot be truly appreciated unless you see them and smell them yourself. As aroma’s cannot as yet be transmitted via a screen, the photo’s will have to suffice!
I tend to order flowers online fairly often for friends and family who live in other parts of the country. I always ask for honest opinions from the person I send them to, as to what condition they have arrived in. Flowers can be expensive, so you would expect them to arrive in perfect condition, too often this is not the case.
I was very impressed with the quality of the flowers received from Prestige flowers and was particularly impressed by the packaging. I would say that they arrived in perfect condition and that the bouquet was beautiful and excellent quality. It would be a fantastic way of congratulating someone on the birth of their new baby.
